Love Diary Terms of Service
Revision: 2026-10-23-pro-pass-storage
Operator and privacy/grievance contact: Abhishek Mishra, Delhi 110092, India. Email: support@lovediary.in.
When these Terms apply. These Terms describe the redesigned Love Diary service, including private couple experiences and Community. They apply to an account when this published revision is presented and affirmatively accepted for that service, subject to the advance-notice protections below. Publication alone does not record agreement, activate a paid plan or start a deletion countdown. Older app versions may continue to show their previously linked agreement. Earlier acceptance records are not acceptance of this revision.
Existing accounts retain at least 14 days of email and in-app notice before material new storage or access restrictions take effect, except where an urgent legal or security requirement needs faster action. Any applicable full 60-day over-limit transition begins only when the notified personal limits actually take effect. The Pro Pass/access change has its own notice record and cohort, independent of earlier personal-storage notices or acceptance. An old storage email or in-app notice does not count toward the new 14-day notice. Accepting these Terms, creating a journal or making a purchase does not waive that protection. The previous personal-storage Terms remain available.
The previous experiences Terms also remains available.
The 19 October India pilot Terms is also preserved for reference.
1. Agreement and the service
These Terms govern your use of Love Diary: private journals shared with one invited partner, couple activities and keepsakes, and a separate moderated relationship Community for signed-in adults. A partner or journal is not required to browse or participate in Community. The current-service agreement applies to Free and paid accounts, including people without a partner or journal. When this release is available to your account, the app presents this versioned Terms and Privacy Policy pair with an explicit Agree and continue action. An existing signed-in session must also provide the current affirmative agreement; an old session is not new acceptance. Selecting it records acceptance of that Terms revision and acknowledgment of its linked Privacy Policy for the signed-in account; it does not buy a subscription. Apple or Google sign-in, an earlier Continue action, previous personal-storage acceptance and a purchase do not by themselves accept this new revision. If you do not agree, new creation subject to the revised offer can remain unavailable when it validly takes effect, while existing memories, applicable edits/completion, safety controls and data-request/deletion assistance remain available. You can sign out or request account deletion. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.
This release offers a Free experience, an optional shared Pro Pass and independent personal-storage subscriptions. Publication alone does not make a product available, activate paid-feature restrictions or change an existing account’s limits. The relevant offer and notice period must apply to your account, and the new agreement requires the explicit action described above. Only products actually available in the purchasing store can be bought. Features and capacity may change, subject to Section 10. Your personal Theme choice does not change your partner’s appearance. Shared relationship details include the together-since date, where and how your story began, and dated relationship-status history. Generated relationship keepsakes and annual reminders follow those details; changing status alone does not end the relationship. A journal can have one or two members, and each member may have one active journal at a time. Archived journals remain available in the app as described below.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18, reside in India, and be legally able to agree to these Terms and use Love Diary. The initial release is available only in India. The age declaration beside sign-in confirms the stated minimum age; a separate Agree and continue action accepts this current-service revision, including the optional Pro offer as described in Section 1. Neither separately requests a residency declaration. Date of birth is used for the stated 18+ age check. This is a self-declaration, not identity-document age verification or verified location screening. You sign in through Apple or Google using an account handled by Clerk. You are responsible for keeping access to that sign-in account secure and for activity under your Love Diary account. Give accurate profile information and keep it current. Notify us at support@lovediary.in if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
Do not use another person's identity or sign-in credentials without their authorization. Each person should use their own account when sharing a journal.
3. Shared journals and invitations
You may create a journal and invite one partner using an invitation code. Codes expire after seven days and can be revoked before use. Share a code only with the intended person. A person who joins can access content shared in that journal and make changes within the permissions of each feature. Private drafts, sealed letters and unrevealed activity answers are exceptions: joining alone does not send, unlock or reveal them. Your connected partner can see shared memories and shared profile information; only sealed letters, private unfinished work and unrevealed answers have separate visibility rules. Each author controls their own Two Sides contribution; one partner cannot rewrite the other's words. Each member is responsible for deciding what to add and for obtaining the other person's permission before uploading their private material. Love Diary's access controls restrict journals to their members, but they cannot prevent a member from saving, copying, or sharing material they can view.
Archiving a journal removes it from the active journal area; it is not the same as deleting it. Reopening a shared archived journal requires both partners' approval. A member may remove an archived journal from their own view without deleting the other member's data. If an account is deleted, its shared journals are archived for the remaining partner and cannot be reopened through that deleted account.
You can report a specific memory from its detail page or report a partner in Settings → Safety and sharing. A report is private to you and the operator. Reporting a memory immediately hides it from your view and sends the complaint to the operator for review. You can also block a partner. While either person keeps a block, both accounts lose access to journals they share and cannot accept new invitations from each other. Blocking archives an active shared journal and revokes its invitation without itself deleting its content. Unblocking does not reopen a journal automatically or remove copies already saved outside Love Diary.
Letters and time capsules. You can prepare a private letter, including one optional photo, before a partner joins. Sealing it is an explicit action addressed to the original partner. Letter times are shown in India time (Asia/Kolkata), defaulting to 9 AM. A complete surprise has no partner-visible envelope before delivery; a countdown exposes only its sealed envelope and opening time. Contents stay unavailable to the recipient until the server-authorized deadline. In a paired capsule, each person controls their own letter; the shared capsule may show whether letters are sealed. At the agreed deadline, only sealed letters are delivered and unfinished drafts stay private. Changing a paired deadline requires both partners' agreement. You can edit, reschedule or cancel your own letter before it unlocks; delivered contents are fixed, subject to content deletion and storage controls. Cancelling one letter does not cancel the other. Archive, explicit relationship end, blocking or account deletion invalidate pending deliveries. Reopening never silently reschedules them. A sender may retain a private cancelled copy, with any retained photo still charged to that sender.
Activities and keepsakes. Daily questions, on-demand games, weekly challenges and bucket items are optional ways to connect. New answers stay hidden until both partners submit. Existing Two Sides recollections remain visible when an author adds or updates their own contribution; ordinary memories do not contain perspectives. Daily activity periods run from 9 AM to 9 AM India time, and weekly periods change on Monday at 9 AM. A moderator queues a question or challenge; when no content is queued, the app waits for an update. Shared streak credit requires both partners to complete the eligible daily question within its period; game scores are specific to the game and are not assessments of relationship quality. Late answers remain accessible without restoring a missed streak day. Opening a delivered letter, completing an activity or saving a linked memory can make it eligible for Our story, monthly recaps, On This Day and the journal's digital book. Linked items are deduplicated. Unopened letters, unrevealed answers and drafts are excluded. Either partner can exclude an item or content type from the shared book; the other cannot override that exclusion. Past books remain separate from the current relationship. The book is assembled from actual saved content and factual dates; it is not counselling or a prediction about your relationship.
Archive and separation are different. Ordinary chapter archive preserves read-only Past history. Journal content cannot be published to Community. Mutual reopening can restore the private journal but never restores scheduled surprises automatically. Removing a journal from your own list does not give access to any new relationship. If both people remove a Past journal, ordinary journal content may be purged under its deletion controls; each sender's private retained letter copies and their charged attachments remain available only to that sender until they delete them or their account.
4. Your content
You retain whatever rights you have in the names, text, photos, dates, and other material you submit (“Your Content”). You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights and consents needed to submit it and share it with your partner. Do not upload material that infringes another person's rights or is unlawful.
Content license: You grant Abhishek Mishra a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, copy, process, resize, display, and transmit Your Content solely to operate Love Diary, make it available to authorized journal participants, assemble the keepsakes you choose, operate Community with the publication permissions below, maintain security, and carry out your deletion choices. This license lasts while Your Content is held in the service and ends when it is deleted, except where a copy must be retained under applicable law. You also permit your invited partner to view and use Your Content within the shared journal. This does not transfer ownership of Your Content to us.
Love Diary stores journal content in the cloud; it is not end-to-end encrypted. Do not use the service as your only copy of important material. The app offers photo downloads and on-device book PDF export, including numbered volumes for large books. Preview what is included before sharing. Exports are independent copies; later edits, withdrawal, separation or deletion in Love Diary cannot recall copies saved or shared outside the app. Availability can depend on your device, free space and permissions.
5. Pro Pass, personal storage and creation limits
Two independent subscriptions. Pro Pass unlocks premium features and higher creation limits for its purchaser and their current connected partner. It adds no storage. A personal-storage subscription changes only the purchaser's photo-storage capacity; it does not unlock features or raise memory or Community limits. Either product can be purchased with an authenticated account before creating or joining a journal, and a person can hold one Pro Pass and one personal-storage subscription simultaneously. Journals do not have separate subscriptions. Do not purchase a duplicate of the same subscription family through another store.
Prices and capacities. India prices for Pro Pass are ₹149 per month or ₹1,499 per year. Personal storage is 200 MB at ₹49 per month or ₹499 per year, 500 MB at ₹149 per month or ₹1,499 per year, or 1 GB at ₹299 per month or ₹2,999 per year. Availability is shown in the app; listing a price here does not make an unavailable store product purchasable. The store-displayed localized price, total charge and renewal period control the purchase you accept. Annual plans charge the annual total, not a monthly installment. Free includes 20 MiB per person. A storage option is the total capacity, replacing rather than adding to the Free allowance or a previous capacity. The app labels MiB and GiB as MB and GB; 1 MB is 1,048,576 bytes and 1 GB is 1,024 MB. Text is outside the photo-storage allowance but ordinary text memories still use the creation limits below.
Features and shared access. Free includes the scheduled daily and weekly Together content, ordinary memories, calendar, gallery, milestones, profiles, themes, ordinary story summaries and Community participation. Other Create together and Play and discover features and the digital book's reader, customization, preview and PDF export need Pro Pass coverage. Without it, the book offers an introduction and upgrade option, not a personal preview. A purchaser's Pass covers their current partner only; each covered person can use their own accessible current and Past books. This grants no access to a partner's former journals. Separation ends sponsored access without transferring the purchaser's subscription. Shared benefits do not merge billing identities, storage or usage counters. Existing legacy purchases retain their purchased allowances and promised benefits.
Personal creation limits. Without Pro Pass coverage, each person may create up to three new ordinary memories per India calendar day and 20 per India calendar month, and submit two new Community posts per month. Own or current-partner Pro Pass coverage raises these ceilings to 20 memories per day, 500 memories per month and ten Community posts per month for each person. Both memory ceilings apply, across all their journals. Each new ordinary memory counts once, whether text-only or containing up to ten photos. There is no separate daily or monthly photo quota: uploads must fit personal bytes and technical limits. A storage-only subscription leaves all these creation limits unchanged.
Counters use the server's actual creation time and reset at midnight India time for a new day or calendar month, independently of the 9 AM daily/weekly activity schedule. Backdating a memory does not move its quota charge. Edits, restores, automatic relationship keepsakes and linked Together entries saved to the timeline do not consume another ordinary-memory slot. Failed saves and duplicate retries do not consume extra slots. Deleting a successfully created memory does not refund usage. Community posts count at first submission, including pending moderation; editing or resubmitting the same post does not count again. Rejection or deletion does not refund usage. Safety reports, appeals and existing Community reading, answers, reactions and polls are not paid post submissions; safety and anti-spam safeguards still apply. Paid access never guarantees publication or moderation priority. Buying, cancelling, pairing, changing journals or changing a plan does not reset counters. Pro raises the ceiling against existing consumption; after coverage ends, new creation follows the remaining Free allowance.
Storage ownership. Each person's allowance covers their own uploads across current, Past and retained journals. Only the original uploader is charged for a photo, its stored variants, covers, Recently Deleted and unfinished reservations. Viewing a partner's photos does not use your cloud allowance. A partner's Pass or storage purchase cannot increase your personal bytes, postpone your cleanup deadline or take ownership of your uploads. Changing journals, inviting or joining, archiving and reopening do not reset storage. Removing a Past journal from your list can preserve its photos for the partner; your retained owned photos still count. Settings → Your storage → Your uploaded photos lets you download or permanently delete your own uploads without restoring access to your partner's other content or activity.
Store billing and cancellation. Pro Pass and personal storage are independent auto-renewing purchases through Apple In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing, verified with RevenueCat. They can have different renewal dates and each must be managed or cancelled separately through its original purchasing store. Settings → Plans & pricing offers management and Restore purchases for both families using the original Love Diary and store accounts. Cancellation normally preserves verified coverage until the paid period ends; store-confirmed billing grace is honored. Store-confirmed plan changes, proration and effective dates control changes to each family; a storage change must not replace the Pass. No purchase is made by viewing plans. This release offers no lifetime plan, trial or introductory offer. Refunds and disputes follow store procedures and applicable consumer law; these Terms preserve non-excludable rights without promising a refund outcome.
Independent expiry. Pass expiry does not reduce storage or start storage cleanup. Existing ordinary memories and revealed content stay readable, already sealed letters can deliver and started activities can finish; new premium creation and book access need current coverage. Storage expiry does not end a valid Pass. After verified storage expiry, refund revocation or an effective capacity reduction, the new personal allowance applies. If owned usage exceeds it, new photo uploads are blocked and the owner receives 60 days to renew, upgrade, download or reduce usage. The exact deadline is shown, with notices at the start and 30, seven and one day before cleanup. Push follows permissions and preferences and is not guaranteed. Affected partners receive only a generic shared-photo availability warning. An insufficient storage upgrade does not restart a countdown; verified sufficient capacity or reduced usage clears it. Existing over-limit users receive a full 60-day transition after properly notified personal limits take effect.
Before the deadline, select your own photos to keep within the new allowance. Explicit selections take priority; otherwise your current journal cover and newest uploads that fit are prioritized. Normal Recently Deleted expiry still applies. After the deadline, only your excess owned photos and variants are permanently removed, including shared references. Text, milestones, memberships, journals and partner-owned photos are preserved. Buying later cannot recover deleted photos. Billing uncertainty postpones destructive cleanup pending reconciliation. Live books and app caches update after synchronization; exported PDFs and downloaded photos remain independent files outside the app.
Technical limits include 10 MiB per uploaded photo, ten photos and 5,000 characters per ordinary memory, 100 reminders per journal, up to 100 journals per person including Past and one active journal per person. JPEG, PNG and WebP are supported. Upload concurrency, moderation and anti-abuse safeguards apply independently of paid quotas. We may pause new storage sales to preserve funded capacity while protecting verified purchased allowances. Existing-user notice protections in Section 10 continue to apply; rollout must not retroactively debit the new creation counters.
6. Acceptable use and Community
Use Love Diary lawfully and respectfully. Do not submit content you lack permission to use; harassment, bullying, hate, credible threats, sexually exploitative content, child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate images, or material that violates another person’s privacy or is unlawful. Do not try to access another journal or account without authorization, interfere with the service or its security, or bypass the limits in Section 5.
Community publication. Stories support emotional reactions but never comments or answers. Questions support standalone answers and optional single-choice polls, without reply threads. Poll results are aggregate; voters' account identities are not displayed to other users. No direct messaging, matching or paid visibility is offered. Community is readable by other signed-in users, including people outside your couple. Do not post identifying or intimate information about another person without permission.
Posting identities. You can choose Anonymous, a nickname or a public name; Anonymous is the default. Review the identity shown before submitting. These identities are separate from your private journal name, photos and partner information. Anonymous means anonymous to other Community participants, not to the operator: the service internally records the author for moderation and abuse prevention. People may still recognize you from what you write. Community blocking hides an account's contributions across its posting identities without revealing those identities; it does not end a private relationship or create a private partner block.
Private journals and Community. Journal memories, Two Sides recollections and other private journal content cannot be published to Community from the journal. Community has a separate composer for voluntarily authored public posts. Do not copy another person's private or identifying information into a public post without permission. Any legacy journal-linked snapshots are unavailable to Community users. Copies already captured outside the app cannot be recalled.
Moderation and reporting. Posts and standalone answers wait for operator approval before other users can see them. The app shows pending, published or rejected states and any provided reason. Abhishek Mishra is the initial moderator. Spam filters and submission limits supplement human review; they do not guarantee that all harmful content will be caught. Report posts, answers or their author from the relevant Community screen and block unwanted accounts. We may reject or remove content, restrict Community posting or pause submissions to address abuse or moderation capacity. A Community-only restriction does not itself remove private journal access or exports. Contact support@lovediary.in to appeal a decision or report an inaccessible safety issue. This is not an emergency service and review is not instantaneous. Unlawful content, threats, targeted harassment, hate, doxxing, exploitation, sexually explicit material and non-consensual intimate material are prohibited; do not use the app to recruit, advertise, solicit or impersonate others.
Technical requests that violate access or capacity rules may be rejected automatically. A limited text safeguard can reject explicit threats or exploitation; it does not classify every image or detect every kind of abuse. You can report harmful content or accounts in the app, or email support@lovediary.in. We review reports and may remove content, suspend accounts, or restrict sharing for misuse. The service is not monitored as an emergency channel; contact local emergency services for immediate danger. You can appeal an operator decision by contacting support@lovediary.in with the relevant report reference.
Child safety. Love Diary is for adults and prohibits sexual exploitation or abuse of children, including child sexual abuse material, grooming, sextortion and trafficking for sexual purposes. Report suspected content through the in-app reporting controls or contact support@lovediary.in with “Child safety” in the subject. The operator reviews reports, restricts offending content or accounts, preserves evidence only where necessary, and reports material to the appropriate authorities when required by law. Do not download, forward or attach suspected illegal material unnecessarily; provide its in-app reference instead.
7. Deletion, offline changes, and ending use
You may move memories to Recently Deleted. They can normally be restored for 30 days and are then scheduled for permanent deletion; you can permanently delete them sooner. Closing or ending a journal can permanently clear memories already in Recently Deleted as explained in its confirmation. Unsent letter words, date and visibility choices may be saved privately on this phone under your account; restoring a local unfinished letter never seals, sends or reveals it. Selected photos may need to be selected again after reopening. Existing memory edits may be saved on your device while offline and shared when Love Diary reconnects; new memories and photo uploads need an internet connection. An offline edit may fail to sync if the journal or the same memory changed. Check its sync status before relying on it.
You can request account deletion in the app or through the external Delete account page, including after uninstalling Love Diary. The process removes your profile, your memory text, Two Sides contributions and activity answers, letter drafts and authored letters, Community contributions and uploaded photos, and removes or changes milestones attributed to you, including material in archived journals and Recently Deleted. In a partner-retained journal, a milestone may remain with its name replaced by “Shared milestone” and its author changed to the remaining partner. Solo journals are removed. In a shared journal, your partner's own content remains in their permanently archived copy; some shared records may be retained or changed so that copy remains usable. Deletion also removes your Clerk account and clears the app's local journal data and account preferences on that device when the process completes. Photos already saved in a device's own gallery are outside Love Diary's deletion process. If deletion fails, retry or contact support@lovediary.in.
You may stop using Love Diary at any time. Deleting the app alone does not delete your cloud account or content. Deleting your Love Diary account or uninstalling the app does not cancel an Apple or Google Play subscription; cancel it separately in the purchasing store to stop future renewals. Any minimal purchase records required to prevent fraudulent reuse or comply with legal obligations are handled as described in the Privacy Policy. If we suspend or terminate your access for serious misuse, we will email an explanation to your account address and explain how to appeal at support@lovediary.in. We may restrict access immediately where an urgent safety or security issue requires it. Restriction does not itself delete your content. If you cannot use the in-app account controls while restricted, contact us about access or deletion requests.
8. Our service and third parties
We and our licensors retain rights in the Love Diary app, design, trademarks, and software, excluding Your Content. Subject to these Terms, you may use the app for your personal use. You may not claim ownership of or misuse our branding or software.
Apple and Google provide sign-in options, Clerk handles accounts, Convex provides backend and storage infrastructure, Resend delivers in-app support requests to our email mailbox, and RevenueCat verifies subscription purchases together with Apple or Google Play. Device operating systems provide photo access and scheduled reminders. Partner memory alerts use the Expo Push Service and Apple's or Google's push delivery systems. Notification preferences are per device: you can pause all alerts or separately choose Milestones, Memories, Our beginning, Letters, Together activities and Community responses. Activity reminders default to 8 PM India time, can be changed, and skip days already answered and journals without a partner. Letter unlocks use server time, not notification arrival. Milestones and the annual Our beginning celebration are scheduled locally; Our beginning uses 9 AM device-local time. Memories alerts use generic messages when your partner adds, updates, or deletes a memory, without journal text, names, or photos in the notification. Your direct use of those providers may be subject to their own terms; we do not control them. Notifications depend on device permission, network and operating-system behavior and may be delayed or missed. Love Diary does not currently generate AI-written content or advice.
9. Availability, warranties, and liability
Love Diary is provided as available. We cannot promise uninterrupted access, error-free syncing, delivery of every notification, or preservation of every item. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Abhishek Mishra disclaims implied warranties that may lawfully be disclaimed. Nothing here excludes a consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Abhishek Mishra is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of Love Diary. These Terms do not impose a fixed monetary cap on liability and do not limit liability where the law forbids it.
10. Changes to the service or these Terms
We may change Love Diary or these Terms. For material changes to these Terms or to storage and access rules, we will provide notice by email and in the app at least 14 days before the change takes effect for an existing account, unless an urgent legal or security reason requires faster action. The updated Terms will show a new effective date. The initial public Pro Pass and personal-storage offer can apply immediately to a new account that explicitly accepts it; existing accounts retain their applicable advance notice before material restrictions change. The server records the existing account's notice progress, and accepting the new Terms alone does not shorten that protection. If you do not accept this revision, the access and assistance described in Section 1 remain available; you can sign out or request account deletion. Acceptance of this Pro revision uses the separate Agree and continue action with this exact Terms revision and its linked Privacy Policy. The original age acknowledgment, earlier personal-storage agreement and this new agreement are recorded separately. An earlier sign-in, Continue action, purchase or agreement is not silently relabelled as acceptance of this revision. Changes do not retroactively create a paid obligation.
11. Community grievances and appeals
Abhishek Mishra is the operator, initial moderator and grievance contact. Email support@lovediary.in with the subject “Community grievance” or use the report action on the relevant post, answer, memory or partner. Include a content reference, the reason for your complaint and a reply address. Do not send passwords, one-time codes or unnecessary intimate content. For a privacy request, use “Privacy request” instead. Support is not an emergency service.
We acknowledge grievances within 24 hours and handle Community grievances within seven days, with shorter statutory timelines where applicable. Complaints requiring urgent removal or disabling of access, including non-consensual intimate material, impersonation or morphed content, are prioritized under the applicable legal deadline. Court orders and valid government directions are handled under their applicable deadlines. Ordinary moderation review does not suspend mandatory timelines. If dissatisfied, reply with your reference and reasons to request reconsideration. Where applicable law provides an external grievance appeal, including through the Grievance Appellate Committee, you may use that route; these Terms do not limit your legal remedies.
Do not submit unlawful or deceptive synthetic media, impersonations or material falsely presented as a real person or event. Love Diary does not offer AI generation in this release. Fictional demonstration images on our website are labelled as such and contain no real customer data.
12. Governing law, disputes, and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Courts in Delhi, India will hear disputes, unless applicable law requires another forum.
